PATRIMONY is the creation of brothers Daniel Daou and Georges Daou, founders of DAOU Vineyards & Winery.

Daniel and Georges are creative visionaries. Their symbiotic relationship is the driving force behind all of their efforts. Together, they have formed a legacy that will endure for generations.

Winemaker & Founder

Daniel is a world-renowned winemaker and visionary who combines the ingenuity of a trained engineer with the mind of an artist. These gifts have enabled him to master both the science and creativity necessary to make transcendent wines. Daniel’s heart lies primarily in the vineyard, where he is attentive to every possibility for cultivating the purest expression of terroir. Daniel is credited with leading the revolution in Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon, and is the highest-rated winemaker in the region.

GEORGES J. DAOU

Founder

Georges is a creative visionary and a man of many interests. He holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and maintains a passion for polo, golf and travel. Georges is the pure passion that shines through everything PATRIMONY stands for. “The raw jewels of this mountain have been here for thousands of years,” Georges says. “But it will take great imagination to unlock the full truth of this terroir. This is the quest we are wholly engaged in, and PATRIMONY is the ultimate promise we've made to the wine world.”

Hailing from Lebanon by way of Paris, Daniel and Georges moved to California in their youth and soon achieved success in business. This, however, was just the beginning of their journey. Inspired by their family history and worldview, the Daou brothers embarked on a fearless goal — to produce the world’s finest Cabernet Sauvignon. With this dream now decades in the making, Daniel and Georges are pleased to share PATRIMONY with the world: a benchmark for luxury wine in Paso Robles and beyond.
